“Very friendly managers and comfortable hostel. A little breakfast and very slow wifi. But the city tour is satisfied and location is good.”

“The dinner was food really not tasty. The room is nice but you can tell the years in it. A bit pricy for what’s offered.”

“WiFi was decent but did break up sometimes. Friendly staff but often didn’t have information such as once I asked about laundry and the staff wasn’t sure and didn’t try to help and find out. It’s a budget hostel, good value for the money in the city historic center. You can walk alone at night u til about 830-9pm. Uber is plentiful. Decent traditional restaurants around within walking distance. Hostel is quiet except for the construction - so be mindful if you take naps or sleep in behind 8am....

“Lovely ambience. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location.”

“Highly recommended. It was the highlight of our visit to Ecuador.”

“The hotel was great for what we needed for a night and the price was very affordable. Staff were very nice and happily switched us to an inside facing room to avoid the traffic noise below. It’s an older style hotel located just two blocks from the main area so super easy to walk to all of the activities.”

“My husband and I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Mama. We were pampered since we stepped in until we left. We definitely will stay again if we visit Quito again in the future.”

“Don't have elevator. Too much stairs. Not recommend for handicap”

“Todo me gustó, las personas del hotel son muy amables”

“at first. you can hear everything what your neighbors do. you are able to know next room user's do, use a toilet, take a shower, even their talking. if you open a bathroom's door, you can feel with, right beside them the second. staffs cannot speak english at all. but its not problem. they try to use google translator. problem is they dont know about any information. transportation, tour, major attractions... and they seem to kind. but i dont know. i can speak spanish little....

“This hotel is truly a gem. From the decor to the location to the wonderful staff, we had a wonderful stay. It has a great rooftop bar with amazing views and the dinner we had their restaurant was one of the best meals we had on our 17 days in Ecuador. The breakfast was top notch too. The hotel is gorgeous and you are right in the historic center with so much beautiful architecture right at your door step. The staff went above and beyond with helping us get settled and provided us with a lovely...

“Hotel was like a jig saw puzzle with lots of stairways and areas. Still had construction going on. Rooms were very nice but no privacy unless you close your curtains. Room safes did not work in either of our rooms. You cannot flush toilet paper due to old pipes. Area did not feel very safe but we did not need to leave the hotel without a guide since the dining in the hotel was great. Overall I would recommend this hotel. ”

“The first night was terrible, I got a room with a terrible smell I got a bad headache, therefore I requested to change my room. The gentleman who worked at night was very friendly and helpful. I got an upgraded room for the same price. The lady who worked during the day (Karla) was very friendly and helped us referring good restaurants near the hotel and things to do in Quito.”

“Great location, great place to stay in historical center in Quito, 100% recommended. ”
