“We stayed for just one night, on our way to Orkney. The hotel was fine. We got a family room as it listed two bedrooms. In fact, it was two rooms with no door between them. I should have looked at at the reviews or called the hotel directly. Having failed to do so, I did not get a good nights sleep, listening to my family member snore. The hotel is definitely in an old building - charming, but it could do with some touchups.
The included breakfast with a nice amenity though, I do wish they had...

“A bit dated rooms . Rooms a bit small. We were at back of property and view was bad as it looked down to the bins. Room needed painted as bad marks on walls. People walking in hall could be heard as we were beside back stairs. Had better rooms in other hotels for cheeper. Do not think i will book again.”

“Disappointing - this was not a "castle like" building. At first glance it looked pretty great (once we found it - google maps sent us across the roadway), but reception was stationed at the bar; not the reception desk.
Okay... crisps were 2£ for each wee bag at the bar. The restaurant was not open for dinner on Sunday or Monday... given the VERY out of the way location we this was problematic.
The king's suite only had a double bed... not even a queen. The shower didn't drain and required...

“인버네스에서 급히 예약을 한다고 어쩔수 없이 했습니다. 가장 작은 1인실이라 그런지 전망이 없는 방이 나왔네요. 특히...직원들은 투숙객이 지나 가도 애써 눈 안마주치려 노력을 합니다...겉으로만 친절한 직원들. ”

“We absolutely loved staying here. It was a peaceful and beautiful place with so much history and character. The room was so nice, it was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the fresh baked breads were perfect. Manuela, our host was helpful, kind and friendly. She was a delight and helped make our trip special. We cannot wait to stay at The Cawdor House on our next trip. 10/10 stars”
