"Staff great, room not so. Having ascertained that all rooms have a shower, I was very disappointed with the shower in the room. I have mobility issues but do not require an accessible room The shower was 1m deep, 2m across and only had a glass screen, no door. Grab handle was on the opposite wall and not accessible for getting in or out. A simple grab handle to enable safe egress after showering is all that these showers need to make them better. Even people without mobility issues would have difficulty. My husband had to help me out. The bed was too low. apparently some people in the past complained about them being too high so the height was reduced. Very difficult for me to get up from. All in all, I'm not impressed and will not be using your brand again. "

"Very nice overall except the shower. Would have liked a regular shower, not a bath you have to stand in. Also the power of the water in the shower was very low, it’s hard to wash long hair in it. Everything else great - and amazing restaurant "

"Straight from the off the staff were so friendly & helpful (all staff appeared to multi-task, one minute booking guests in, then serving drinks, putting luggage in luggage room. Our rooms were beautifully clean, the beds comfortable & pillows nice & soft, just as I like them. The hotel was busy but wonderfully peaceful. Our breakfast was amazing - a wonderful selection of cereals, fresh fruits, dried nuts & seeds plus two types of yoghurt. There were meats & cheeses & Danish pastries. For those preferring a cooked breakfast there were enough items to make up a full English. Lots of different fresh breads to toast. There was fresh flavoured water & cordials & a great variety of teas & coffee. On checkout the receptionist took our bags off us to store & also booked a taxi to the station for us. Couldn't have asked for a better stay & we'll definitely be back 👍"

"This is a lovely hotel, we enjoyed our stay here. The only reason I’ve given a 4* not a 5* review is that there were no accessible parking spaces available on the Saturday evening when we returned for the night, as wedding guests had chosen to park there without blue badges. Not the hotel’s fault, but they did nothing about it. Our room was great - the accessible shower had a chair rather than the drop down seat I often find in accessible bathrooms. A chair feels safer. The room was big enough to turn my scooter round so that I could drive forward out of the room rather than have to reverse. The staff were very friendly."

"Perfect for the city centre to get to all the bars and restaurants on foot we chose a river view and a high floor had a view of the minster the staff were great helping you with everything definitely going back "
