“Great location for walking. The rooms and areas were a bit tired looking and worn, for example the towels were scraggy, there was no where to hang a towel in the bathroom, the lock on the bathroom door was dodgy, but the hotel staff in all areas from reception to the spa and the bistro were extremely friendly and professional. The pool area with the steam room and sauna although a little worn down was a nice welcome after a hike. The bistro evening menu, food and breakfast were all of a high...

“Enjoyed 1 night at The Bear Hotel and found it to be extremely welcoming and comfortable. Greeted with a warm smile and a friendly face. Happy to change our room without any fuss or incovenience. Had a good quality meal in the restaurant. Food was tasty and the staff here also happy and efficient. We loved the location and would definitely stay again if in the area. Thank you.”

“Checking in was really easier, we were shown around and then to our room. If you are going to stay here definitely book the mountain view room "Parc", modern spacious room. The train station is a short walk which is great for getting around. Thank you for a great stay. All staff were really friendly. ”
