“I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). ”

“Perfect location for pen y fan and local walks. The food was amazing however the bar did lack atmosphere and was pretty tatty. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Alot of the decor needs modernisation and attention to detail. We paid more for superior room but there was nothing superior about it other than the room size was slightly larger. Furniture was scratched and damaged and bathroom was very dated and in need of minor repairs. Would have probably been top of range in the 90s but...

“What a fantastic B&B, free parking right behind if you are lucky. The accommodation was lovely, the rooms are brilliant, our room (right at the top) was boutique style with a nice big bath in the room, great views out of the windows. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities in the room and a private toilet. Nice comfortable big bed with a big heavy duvet and plenty of pillows. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
