“Nice looking hotel in a lovely location. It is conveniently located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park making it ideal to get out and about either walking, hiking, and cycling in the surrounding area. Waterfall country is about a 30 minute drive away. Very friendly and polite staff. Food was on the slightly pricey side but it was excellent quality. “I had been to the Black Lion three years before visiting the area my kin folks left in 1838 to come to Ohio. The accommodations and the meals were great. We went to the Welsh Library in Aberystwyth and hit the mother load of information of our ancestors in Lampter and Betws Bledrws.”

“We spent a lovely night at the B and B. Everything was perfect and they even left a G and T and beer in the fridge for us to enjoy and fresh milk in a jug. There is a nice restaurant attached to the Hotel drinks are expensive but the food is reasonable, not the quickest service but if you are not in a rush it's fine. The bath could do with updating and a plug in the sink didn't fit well (put a flannel round plug fitted ok) Having a lot of work done to the front which will be nice when finished.”
