“The rooms are clean but lack basics. No water in the rooms. You cannot get food after 10pm. The jacuzzi is designed to kill you. There is so much chlorine it feels like a gas chamber. Its awful. Its supposed to be relaxing but you leave crying. The sauna and steam rooms are great. The swimming is good and perfect temperature. “The hotel was alright but charging nearly a tenner to park in their own car park is a joke. Good breakfast albeit another £30. Had to spend nearly the room cost again to park and eat. Could have got somewhere much nicer if I wanted to spend over £100 and eaten and parked for free. Wouldn't come again”

“Easy to find off the A12 behind the petrol station with good (paid) parking. Check-in was easy and staff helpful, Very clean room, nice selection of firm or soft pillows, TV average size with a sofa to allow us to sit and watch before bed. Shower very good and nice Dove shampoo and wash. Air conditioning needed in the mini-heatwave but the room also had a small fan to help cool the room down and move some air around. “All the staff where polite and helpful, it just probably my over sights that I didn’t know this is a pub and a busy one, it was 1 in the morning with music playing that I emailed the pub to ask when things would quiet down and my young child couldn’t sleep. Very basic room, screw on the floor, cracks in the walls, dirty toilet and bath.”

“Gaining entry and checking in eas was more complicated than it needed to be. The walls in my bedroom were paper thin and I could here absolutely every thing from the room next door, the squeak in the mattress everyone the occupant turned over, the headboard banging against the wall, every movement that was made. To top it off I was looking forward to eating in the property only to discover that the chef had gone AWOL. The best thing about my stay was I was only there for 1 night”

“Do not book here. I booked 10 months in advance and when we arrived they couldn’t find my booking. Given a room on 2nd floor, in direct sunlight so it was like a sauna, but they did give us a fan. Arrived back at midnight to find gates closed and locked. Had to call someone to unlock the gate and let us in. Next morning tried to use the shower and wouldn’t work, then tried the was basin and no water. When I mentioned the shower at checkout, they knew about it and said we should have been...
