"York hotel was nothing to write about. I couldn't stay, I was made go elsewhere to check in and paid extra, I was really disappointed, no toilet, no parking space etc. the Britanna Inn was better. Thou, I paid extra money."

"When we arrived at 10:15pm reception was unattended even though it said it was open until 11pm, so I rang the mobile number & spoke with a gentlemen who explained how to get into the hotel & into our room. The room itself was a good size with plenty of wardrobe space, a very comfortable double bed & a kettle & microwave were also provided. The bathroom was very basic but adequate with a toilet, sink & bath with a shower attachment. We stayed for 3 nights & we weren't disturbed once. There's a smoking area outside the back of the building with a table & 3 chairs & an outhouse which is quite dilapidated where the laundry is hung which you can use to shelter from the rain, although the garden is very overgrown with old TV's, tables & chairs & rubbish left to rust away. All in all it's pretty much what you would expect from a budget hotel but we were comfortable & quite satisfied with our stay. The staff or family members we met were all nice & friendly. The only noise which was minimal wad when their kids were playing outside or from the plumbing which was loud enough to wake me up a couple of times."

"Wasnt too happy the Hotel took 90 pound as a pre authorization payment wont receive it back for one month Also need a physical card for payment Then they needed a deposit on check in so cost me a fortune before any stay Stayed in apartment 1 A and the noise underneath from the restaurant constant banging and smashing until 1 am got very little sleep all weekend Other than that it is a nice hotel, staff were very helpful Good location for metro, food places and right beside a large shopping centre and the town .. lots of little bargain shops in the town and also there was a market with rides for the kids ... a lovely park and playground 10 min walk"
