Edison, New Jersey hotel rooms at the Red Roof Inn

"The room was really spacious with its own kitchenette. A kettle in the room would have been amazing to make tea, but I know they are not common/used in USA. Staff all super friendly and helpful and the free breakfast in the morning was a great bonus. Perfect location for the PATH train too. Would definitely use again."

"Everything was great. Shuttle runs every 15 minutes. Easy check-in. Room was large and clean. Great place to stay at the airport."

"I had to book a last-minute stay in the city, and the hotel accommodated me immediately, which I truly appreciated. The location was very convenient, especially being close to Newark Penn Station, making it easy to get around. Check-in was quick and seamless, and my room had a great view facing the city. Overall, a smooth and comfortable experience when I needed it most."

"Great room and space was fine - was thinking room would be smaller! Coffee maker was a bonus. Staff at desk were always lovely and friendly. Mostly fine for waiting for lifts/elevators but at busier times was a longer wait. There are 3 though so wasn’t too bad as other reviews worried me about this before going. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Had to ask for firmer pillow though - they accommodated quickly. Walls are thin and did shake when other doors slammed shut. Situated by lift which wasn’t an issue but also by the cleaning cupboard so was woken a few times - one at 2:30am with someone on their walkie talkie. Smoke alarm was going off on night we got back - they removed battery and said would replace next day but it never got replaced before we then left. Overall a great stay - location is fab next to a lot of things and also to lots of subway options. Walkable to Staten Island ferry / charging bull / Wall Street etc. Would definitely stay here again."

"Very convenient for airport transfers. Great delivery from local restaurants. We were tired and it helped. Also, the driver was excellent Mark Bernardo. He’s a keeper!!! Holding our bags for a late flight out to Europe was also a great service 😍"

"Pool deck was filthy. Literal blood drops and clumps of hair all over it. I chose this hotel because of the indoor pool, but couldn't bring myself to take my shoes off! The room was fine, but the hotel has seen better days. Lots of missing and/or loose grout between the floor tiles in the bathroom. The lobby/bar/dining area (all under the atrium) was unbearably warm. Outside temp was 82% - inside felt even warmer. Ended up walking next door to the Holiday Inn for dinner (worst steak ever, but that's a different story). The parking fee ($25) eats up any savings you might have had in the cheaper rate here. Not sure if they had In-and-Out privileges, which is why I resorted to the Holiday Inn for dinner because it's the only place you can walk to from the Doubletree."
