“Wonderfully located in a natural setting and in short driving distance to several National Trust properties and only 30 to 45 minutes to Brighton. This is a great location if you want to combine a trip to the coast with spending time in the nature. Rooms are simple, but comfortable and the breakfast tasty and plentiful. There is a small indoor pool, including a steam room and sauna. I would definitely stay here again but hopefully the next time get a room where the television isn’t broken.”

“Last-minute booking for Goodwood Festival of Speed and luckily we found a room here. It was better than I expected from photo, a spacious room with a 4-poster bed, the bathroom had a bath and a walk-in shower. Although no air-con, there was a large fan and we slept well. My husband enjoyed the full breakfast with good quality bacon, eggs and sausage; he doesn't eat tomatoes, so declined the heritage ones offered. “We saw the proprietor when we arrived at the property. He said our room was ready, although we were very early. My partner was delighted with the box of breakfast goodies. The fridge and microwave were welcome extras.. Clean linen, big room, great locality. No negative points at all.”

“Angel Inn is close to the centre of Petworth, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a large modern bath and separate shower and everything was very clean. We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. ”

“Charming, quirky place, more than adequate for a one night stop over. Pleasant room with nice, recently refitted bathroom - sadly very hot/stuffy during recent hot weather. EV chargers did not work for me unfortunately. Food rather uninspiring and underwhelming, otherwise would stay again.”

“I liked the location near the motorway - it's a busy golf and leisure club. Car park was full. Very quiet location, rooms spacious but there's no air conditioning. Nice bar where you can get a drink or a snack. Breakfast was nice - service not quite on point”

“Enjoyed The Railway pub for our visit in Worthing. It's a pubs with rooms, but they're nicely separated and it was very good. A special tip of the hat to the friendly, helpful front-of-house Cat (and all the staff, to be fair). We were made to be feel like locals. It's clean, tidy, with good food and drink. And opposite the station if you're in Worthing. Recommended.”
