“This pub/restaurant has it all, ambiance, great service varied menu and a great location. It was perfect way to celebrate my wife's birthday on our way home from a holiday in Scotland. Had a drink in the sheltered beer garden and a great meal in the restaurant. Breakfast, which is included is cooked fresh to order. Only minor issue being the bathroom which was small and could do with modernising. Otherwise 5 stras”

“The area was amazing . The room was well appointed however I had a couple of issues. I had little or no hot water / heating throughout my visit. There was an infestation of fleas in the kitchen window area. The fridge door shelf was broken meaning I couldn’t store orange juice in it. However with all this aside , I really enjoyed my stay and the bar has some of the best Guinness I’ve ever had.”

“Great from check in to check out and everything in between. Jan couldn’t do enough for us and was very helpful with information on the area. Room was very comfortable with nice touches like dressing gowns available if we’d wanted to use them. Everything throughout the property was spotless. Dinner was cooked to perfection as was the Yorkshire breakfast. The choice of cold breakfast items was plentiful from yogurt to granola parfait to cereals & fresh fruit salad.
