"Hotel at very good cental location, with shops and supermart just outside. Nice friendly service staff. Room is clean, nice garden view. Birds chirping away in the morning. Garden ground has lots of colourful frangipanis. Within the hotel there are padi fields, may sit by the cafe to enjoy tooking at the green padis. Breakfast is great. Good choice for a Bali holiday."

"Loved stay at Maya Ubud! The location was great for going into town but I honestly didn't want to leave the resort! I loved the adult infinity pool. My room was great with a comfortable bed and turn down service. The dance shows at dinner were fun too. I do recommend taking bug spray if you walk on the riverside trail; I got at least 40 mosquito bites on a very short walk there. I also recommend a trip to the spa!"

"Helpful and polite staff and well kept and serviced rooms. We stayed in both a pool villa and a standard room and both were excellent with the pool villa being a stand out. A rough and somewhat dark road heading to the resort had us concerned, but this was short lived. A shuttle into town is available and a Grab into Ubud Palace area is anywhere from 30k to 75k IDR"

"Fantastic Stay! GORGEOUS OASIS in central UBUD. Can walk to major sights and restaurants. Ask for a room overlooking pool. PROS: 1. Lush and green beautifully landscaped property with TWO pools. Second pool large enough to swim laps. 2. Staff are lovely and helpful. Very positive character. 3. Generous Breakfast can be enjoyed in restaurant, in your room (most have balconies) or at tables by the poolside. Such a great way to start the day! 4. Lovely Spa. I highly recommend their Body Scrubs! CONS: 1. No Weight Room or Exercise Machines. Only a Yoga Studio. We got most of our exercise WALKING the city and SWIMMING LAPS in their beautiful pool so it was not a big issue for us. SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT: 1. Expand SPA SERVICES to include Manicures, Pedicures, and Waxing. Those services are typically often needed by female guests. Providing this would also generate more guest traffic into the Spa and provide the hotel with the opportunity to cross sell other its other services."

"Stayed at The Menzel for 3 nights in total — one night in the basic room and two nights in the Garden Private Plunge Pool room. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We were given vouchers for lunch, wine, and dinner, and since we were hungry after arriving, we decided to eat there that evening. I had the crispy duck and honestly, it was one of the best meals I’ve had. We also received some lovely welcome treats, which was a really nice touch. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had little to no pests during our stay. The private plunge pool was definitely a highlight too. The hotel also helped organise tours for us. We originally planned to do a waterfall tour, but due to the weather one of the more popular waterfalls was closed. Our guide adapted the itinerary so well and ended up giving us a really personalised experience instead — including a different waterfall, a coffee plantation, and a temple visit. The location was perfect for what I wanted: peaceful and away from the busy town centre, but still very easy to get a Grab into town whenever needed. It’s not really walkable to the centre, but that wasn’t an issue for us. I’d definitely stay here again."

"Lovely situation out of the main town with spectacular views of rice fields from the main cafe/bar area. We had a private pool duplex. I might actually choose a room near the main pool next time as it's a lovely area and we didn't use it. The lounge area was nice but open and therefore subject to small spiders and ants! Private pool was okay. The bed was AMAZING- huge and comfortable and a lovely big bathroom. We were spoilt. Food and drinks reasonable value- nice chilled area. We had 2 meals and plenty of drinks and came to less than 50gbp for our stay. It can be accessed by Grab and wasnt that much of an issue. Only about 2-3 gbp into town. Would definitely choose again next time we come! Thanks all. The staff were lovely. Only downside is we booked a photo shoot but miscommunication around the time meant we didn't get it. They were very apologetic though and no biggie and offered us other times but we had plans. Plus the doors are a bit 'gappy' when closed for an area that has PLENTY of nature around! I will miss the nightly cataclysmic thunderstorms and geckos outside the door!"
