“Lovely hotel for a basic stay. Everything is very clean and staff are incredibly helpful with excellent customer service. Room amenities are basic with a tea/coffee station but no safe or fridge (just fyi). Rooms are small so perfect for solo travelling. Location is right in the centre of main high street (directly opposite the royal theatre). I wouldn’t bother with the breakfast though as not much on offer for those with specific dietary requirements. ”

“Room was clean and comfortable all staff that we had dealings with were friendly polite and helpful. Food provided for breakfast was also nicely presented tasty and filling. We didn’t use the restaurant for evening meals so can’t comment on those but the menu looked delicious. ”

“Spotlessly clean, fabulous hosts and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Reading past reviews I was shocked at mentions of the floors being cold. It's an 18th century cellar for goodness sake!!! Stone floors are part of the charm. It is cosy and warm at this time of year (and I imagine lovely and cool in the summer).I would definitely stay again for its location, its cleanliness and its hosts. Can't fault it except for the mattress, which is a bit "argos" and could do with a good...
