"The resort was very nice, no ac in the lobby area so prepare for heat. Front desk and concierge never picks up the phone! However the staff is overall friendly, helpful and always around the property. Bowls are needed for soups and cereal!! Also flys will be on the food— indoor and outdoor dining which is expected but at first it was gross. They will try to offer you a specialty dinner or breakfast but a 90 presentation is involved where they try to get you to buy a timeshare so skip the offer...

"Staff at RIU is amazing, they provide excellent service. Location is great with beautiful beach 🏝️. Property is well maintained. Food is great. Spa and wellness, very good. The only thing where I would like to see some improvements are rooms that can use some updates, bed mattresses are slightly too firm for my preference. "We loved staying at this property for the food options, the beach was clean, and the drinks were flowing. Our only complaint was how loud our room was. We were located right next to the janitorial room/maintenance room and they were loud from 7am-5pm. This was a swim up jr suite. We got about 2 hours of quiet before the band started up and went from 8:00-11:00pm. On the plus side we never needed music while sitting at the pool because there was always some playing. "
