“Staff”

“This is a lovely inn on a hilltop overlooking the water. Everything is very well maintained, the food fantastic, and the room had everything we needed. What makes it stand out is the staff- they were welcoming, professional, kind and friendly- going over and above to make sure we had everything we needed. Recommendations for meals and outings were always presented. Thanks for a wonderful stay!”

“I EXPERIENCED RACISM IN THIS HOTEL. I am Asian woman, and I spent a day on Islay show day with my boss. They did not open a restaurant that day so, I bought a frozen chicken from the market. However, they never allowed to heat frozen chicken for me because they are too busy for preparing show day event. Hey, using a microwave takes less than 5 minutes!! MOREOVER, During the breakfast, They NEVER asked me what I was going to eat for breakfast. So, I asked them to give some bread, then they gave...

“Gorgeous property and awesome hosts! Food was great, location was convenient for the airport, and we felt so welcomed during our entire stay. Would highly recommend!”

“Hugely overpriced for the standard of accommodation and quality of food on offer. Rooms and dining area cold as heating was not on, although these issues were addressed once I complained. I struggle to see how it has 2 AA rosettes having eaten in multiple fine dining restaurants. The following night we ate at the Old Manse of Blair which also holds 2 AA rosettes and the gulf in quality, favour and service was laughable - the AA should revisit! The rooms are a mish mash of styles and tired. I...

“This hotel was amazing. We’ve stayed 8 nights during our England trip this time and this hotel was only 1 night. We should have stayed there more. The 1 night was the best stay of our trip. We will visit Portree again and definitely stay there again. Fantastic breakfast, clean and beautiful room. Very safisfied. ”

“The weather was very cold and rainy when we arrived and they would not take us in the golf cart to our room which was at the top of the hill. They also have no small plates or snacks that can be brought to your room.”

“The power went out due to the storm and the team at Broadford Hôtel was super helpful. They found us an other place to stay and arranged everything for us beautifully.”
