“the hotel was beautiful, lovely room and amazing bathroom. parking was difficult, the hotel us on a main road so nowhere to unload. nearest parking is above a shopping mall opposite that seems to have a million exits, i was directed to the wrong one but some not very helpful locals. i had 3 heavy bags so it took the shine off the stay somewhat. also the hotel has no staff on site so everything is keyless. weird but functional but they are available on text message and phone. there’s no food...

“ Eye convenient. One member of staff was just lovely she couldn’t have done more to help so friendly. Another was really unfriendly and very moody. I felt as though I was a pain for being there. Breakfast was ok, poached eggs hard and tasted of vinegar. ”

“My room was perfect. Small but not cramped. Lovely window seat with window that opens. The view is stunning especially at night. Excellent cooked breakfast and friendly helpful staff. I don’t have one complaint I will definitely return. ”

“객실은 여관 수준, 문을 열고 깜놀, 그러나 무료 와이파이 짱짱(프리미어 인 객실은 1일 무료 30분, 식당은 완전 무료였음). TV, 냉장고, 다리미 있음. 화장실, 샤워실 노굿. 아침식사 대륙식 맛나게 먹었음. 직원들 무지 친절함. 동네가 바닷가 옛날 주택단지라 방이 크지않음. 신식으로 지은 호텔은 비쌈. 해변 접근이 용이함. 도보 10분에 사우스엔드 중심상가, 전철역”

“Wonderful ”

“When I arrived it said there was a reception at the rear. There was nothing but a locked door. I was lucky that there was a fellow guest who could let me in and ring the manager. When I got in the room it was unmade from the previous guest, the sheets where dirty, there were bedsheets in the washbasin, dirty towels on the bed, the two towels that were folded up and put in the wardrobe were stained. The duvet smelled of urine. All in all very dirty and you'd be better going somewhere clean.”

“In over 30 years of travelling on business, this is one of the best places I have stayed in.Although I did not meet the owners it was clear that the accommodation was well looked after and virtually everything had been thought of for the comfort of their guests. Virtually everything was absolutely spotlessly clean.The only small point I noticed was that there was dirt around the toilet seat hinge - a bit of a dirt trap and difficult to access(I'm sounding like a "Four in a Bed" contestant...

“The owner of The Lodge was very welcoming providing me with good information on how to find the place. My room was well equipped with TV, Fridge and Kettle plus storage for clothing if I needed to use it. The site also has ample parking. Although miles from other places, it's a quiet location and quite a hidden gem. It doesn't take long to get back to the Chatham area.”

“A warm welcome. And kindness throughout our stay. Food service and hosts were excellent. This lovely Guest House is run very well tidy and clean. We were made to feel at home. Host always available. We are hoping to return again.”

“I arrived could not find the accommodation, went on line and discovered that the accommodation was permanently closed. I had to pay for alternate accommodation and have not had any contact from Expedia ”
