"This place is ALL about the location breath taking views from our room absolutely made the trip. Room was spacious with sofa and fire place, a bit tired to be honest but you look past this because of the view!! We ate in the restaurant which was a tasty experience. Having the freedom to walk around the lake and head back to your lodge makes this place worth every penny!!"

"Great hotel just a 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. We had a newly refurbished room number 208 in the main building. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and use of the hot tub facilities. Only disappointment was the lack of housekeeping for our room. They did not make the bed once during our 3 night stay or replace the toiletries and toilet rolls. Only emptied bin and replaced a towel."

"The service and care of everyone I came across during my stay was fantastic. Sarah at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful! In addition, The Basin was an amazing experience. This was a special trip for me. I took it solo after my fiancé passed. I was nervous it wouldn’t live up to the hype. However, the views, the staff, and the overall experience did not disappoint."

"Amazing location. We stayed in the main lodge, but there are separate cabins. The view of the nearby moutains is incredible. The lodge is off-grid, but they generate their own power. There is a river within walking distance. An artesian spring bubbles up from the parking area. The water in the area is blue from minerals. It's right in the heart of the Rockies near Golden, BC. It's well worth the visit. Staff is helpful and accommodating. We had a nice chat with the manager."
