"The staff here are exceptional. They go above and beyond to make sure you have everything that you need and are so friendly and charismatic. We had a lovely stay at Shoji Lake Hotel. The facilities are ‘older’, very traditional Japanese hotel which made our stay a very homey experience. The onsen was wonderful, the indoor onsen was definitely a lot older, but the outdoor onsen was newly renovated and so nice. We will recommend Shojj to everyone going to Japan! "

Warnings: This place is out in the woods with limited bus routes available. Like only 5-6 routes all day. So plan accordingly. Also, each room has its own toilet but you shares the shower/onsen room. Only one family/person uses it at a time. "

"The hotel is in a beautiful spot on the lake. We had a room with a Mt Fuji view and a private onsen which was beautiful. The hotel itself is outdated however it has everything you need. The half board dinner was amazing and the staff were lovely! Highly recommend!"

"I am happy to stay in this village. It is a part of the great experience in my Tokyo trip. The location is just near the main park and we take a lots of great photos with Mountain Fuji. There are parking lot just in front of the village, and the house is clean. I think I will chose to stay once again when u come to here next time."
