"What a great place to stay! The rooms are clean and simple. There is a very nice pool which is open until midnight. The general store here has lots of cool national park themed merchandise, grab and go food, including tasty pre-packaged ice cream bars, lots of drink varieties and even very friendly staff running the place. The saloon serves excellent food as does the adjacent restaurant. This location is very close to the sand dunes as well as Mosaic Canyon, so that is convenient. We highly recommend this location, even over Furnace Creek Ranch."

"Shady lady is a hidden gem for those looking for a place with character and soul and great hospitality and quaint rooms. It’s a breath of fresh air from the usual sterile motel 6 experience. If you like animals, there are cats and dogs and peacocks, yes peacocks! And not too far from death Valley."
