"We recently stayed at your hotel – April 26 and 27. With great expectations we were so excited about coming to Death Valley and staying at the Ranch for our 51st wedding anniversary. We paid over $700 for the two nights and were expecting a wonderful experience.
We arrived in the afternoon of the 26th. We made it very clear when we checked in that my husband was on a walker and we would need to have a very accessible room. We were given room 711. After paying over $700 for two nights, we were put in a terrible room. Even though the hotel has a better rooms advertised. Needless to say, my husband had to go through much sand and debris since construction was going on. Also – no handicap parking. He now was having to drag our luggage through the dirt and sand to even get to the door. Upon arrival at the room, we found the following –
1. A pair of men’s cargo shorts lying on the floor
2. What appeared to be fresh blood on one of the pillowcases
3. A broken coffee maker. The holder for the coffee pod was missing and therefore unusable.
4. Construction crew walking past our back door, so we could not even open the doors and have the sunshine in.
One the 27th, coming back from a day of sightseeing, and drudging through the sand again, our hallway was filled with cigarette smoke.
On the 26th, when we arrived, we were ready for a great meal. We were told the Steak House was great, so we made a reservation, as we were told, and proceeded to our 5:30 reservation. We ord"
