“This hotel is a typical English pub hotel best suited to those with a car. We had requested a ground floor room but were allocated an upstairs room on arrival. However, this was changed by the receptionist and the room we got was fine. It was a good size and looked out on the bar courtyard, fortunately quiet as it was cold and wet outside.
The bathroom was fine and bed comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the evening meals were good.”
