"I’ve stayed in this hotel multiple times and I keep coming back because the location is excellent: the McPherson Square metro station is about 15 minutes walk but the bus stop is right next to the hotel. Checking in was easy and the front desk agent (John) was extremely professional, and he also helped us find restaurants. In my traveling companion’s room there was an issue that we addressed and they fixed it by the time we returned from our trip. They recently renovated the lobby and it is beautiful - I’m hoping they will start renovating the rooms as well as they’re a little outdated. No issues with cleanliness, there’s a coffee/tea maker and a mini fridge in the room and they provided 2 bottles of water and coffee/tea. Housekeeping kept refilling what needed. If you have a car and want to use their garage, that would be an extra charge (I believe it was $50/night). Breakfast is $18/person. When we checked out we asked to store our luggage in their storage and they did accommodate it. I highly recommend this hotel for those who do looking for a nice hotel experience and enjoy what DC can offer."

"Overall, we had a good stay at the Viceroy Washington, D.C., but I’m still not really sure what amenities we were paying for. The room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning was quiet, which we appreciated. The location was also convenient and made it easy to get around D.C. Every staff member we interacted with was polite, friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very responsive anytime we had an issue or needed something. That said, the room itself was rather dark and could definitely use more outlets. We had four people staying in the room, yet every day housekeeping only left three towels, which was frustrating. I also wish there were more options for grabbing a quick snack or drink, and the coffee shop hours felt pretty limited. Overall, a comfortable and clean stay with excellent staff, but for the price, I expected a little more in terms of amenities and convenience."
