We loved this suite! Eva and Jim, the property owners, went above and beyond any Bed and Breakfast I have ever been to. I have been to many B&Bs and this one is the absolute BEST! Maui Coast Hotel was an ideal base in Kihei! It was centrally located right across the street from Kamaole I Beach, and while I wouldn't necessarily recommend staying anywhere in Kihei without a car, there were definitely places to eat and hang in walkable distance in both directions, and the hotel also offered a complementary shuttle service within a 3-mile radius. For those with cars, the plentiful free parking was a nice contrast vs the predatory parking fees at the Wailea resorts. The...

The best family rental ever. For the price compared to all the other resorts you get the most bang for your buck: location, FULL KITCHEN, laundry, guest services, beach access, shopping, and the most beautiful ocean with snorkeling magic galore. We saw sharks turtles and fish by Black Rock. It was amazing. Our daughter loved her first trip to Hawaii. We will definitely be back to west Maui and highly recommend the Whaler.

Spent two nights here and would have loved to spend more. You can hear the waves throughout the unit. The unit is spacious, clean, and well appointed with beach chairs, towels, noodles, boogie boards, etc. There are also umbrellas for the frequent showers.
