River Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful experience."

Omni Chicago Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The staff at the Omni hotel in Chicago were friendly, helpful, and just outstanding. There were no exceptions; from the doorman, to the porter to the waiters at the 626 restaurant. Thank you so much!"

The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown
10/10 Excellent
"We had a good stay at The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown. The room was clean, and the view was amazing. The hotel location is excellent and very walkable, close to many of the main attractions in downtown Chicago. The staff was okay and helpful when we asked for assistance. I did expect the room to feel a little more luxurious, and the shower needed some maintenance. Overall, it was a good experience because of the clean room, beautiful view, and great location. I would give it 4.5 stars."

Congress Plaza Hotel
8/10 Good
"Stayed six nights during my first visit to Chicago. The Congress Plaza's biggest strength is its location. You're directly across from Grant Park and within walking distance of Buckingham Fountain, Millennium Park, the Art Institute, the lakefront, restaurants, public transit, and many of Chicago's major attractions. The hotel itself is a piece of Chicago history and has a classic old-world character that newer hotels can't replicate. My room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed after long days exploring the city. Staff were professional and helpful throughout my stay. The trade-off is that this is an older property. Some areas feel dated and could benefit from modernization. If you're expecting a luxury hotel with the latest amenities, this may not be the best fit. That said, the value, location, and historic atmosphere more than made up for it. I spent most of my time experiencing Chicago rather than sitting in a hotel room, and for that purpose, the Congress Plaza was an excellent choice. Pros: Outstanding location, historic character, walkability, value, helpful staff. Cons: Some rooms and common areas show their age. I would stay here again."

The Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel Chicago Loop
10/10 Excellent

The Whitehall Hotel, BW Premier Collection
10/10 Excellent
"The property and room were clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked great. Chicago station (red line) was within a few minutes walking distance. Wrigley Field is off of that line. If driving to the hotel, wait to check in to speak to the front desk regarding parking. They have additional information on parking and could possibly save you money. Convenient location for many sights and restaurants. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Whitehall Hotel."

Freehand Chicago
8/10 Good
"It was pretty clean overall except just make sure you are are aware of how to use the air conditioner because it took me a bit to understand it. Also it doesn’t say but the city of Chicago charges an extra $100 dollar fee for staying here because of tourism."

Travelodge by Wyndham Downtown Chicago
8/10 Good
"Our last night there the fire alarm went off at 3:30 am. We ,two old ladies, and the couple with a kid went down 12 flights of stairs. The front desk clerk at that time didn’t seem concerned. After us sitting down stairs for at least 20 minutes he asked what we all were sitting there waiting for. We said the fire alarm, he left for about five minutes and said there was no fire alarm. Very disappointing in the no concern."
