“Everything was as usual really lovely. Unfortunately that Sunday happened to be the coldest and when l arrived the room was freezing cold. Staff tried their best to rectify the situation but to no avail. After an hour or more Lady Den brought me an extra quilt so l can use. The lady was a God sent she managed to get the temperature to at least 17 and it made a real difference. Overall l ended up with a good night in a warm place. Staff are so helpful at The Hamilton Arms.”

“Helpful frendly ,welcoming staff.Large room(althogh a little dark) Sadly, there appeared to be no hot water available in our bathroom on our first morning,(despite running the hot water tap for about 10 minutes),so we were unable to take advantage of the wonderful looking freestanding roll top bath. “Hotel was clean and tidy and room was a good size , bed very comfortable had a good nights sleep . Shame there was a parking charge but that seems to be the norm where ever you go ”

“Great location two minutes walk from the seafront. Functional premises, no frills, room was clean and comfortable. There are NO ensuite facilities here, large kitchen area with fridges, microwave, kettle and toaster. Very acceptable for a short undemanding stay.”

“We had a lovely overnight stay for my best friends birthday , she had a fabulous Driftaway spa treatment with the wonderful Charlotte , the setting of the hotel is beautiful & we enjoyed a leisurely walk around the lake . The room we stayed in hd everything we needed & we lovely & cleam . Food in restaurant was good with plenty of choice, the only small negative was that it was undergoing a refurbishment which limited us to access to bars & dining , but the staff were great , very friendly...

“The hotel was ideal for us as only 30 minutes or so to Goodwood. Good value accommodation. Very helpful staff and the Restaurant food was first rate. Also worth a mention was the Bar where the staff and clientele were so welcoming it reminded us of the bar in 'Cheers'!”
