"Stayed in the south building, which has more newly renovated rooms and closest to the front desk/lobby area. Our room was huge and clean, with a serene view of the trees/hill from our window. The property is showing its age, but that did not affect our experience as we really enjoyed all the indoor and outdoor baths. There are restaurants and a gift shop on the property, and lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance. Breakfast buffet was wonderful, with both Japanese and western options. My picky teenager really liked the breakfast buffet. Great location, you can walk to the national park and Jugoduni to see the source of the mineral hot springs. We traveled here from Sapporo and it was an easy train and bus ride to the property. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing time."

Taking a nice afternoon stroll along the lake was also very relaxing. The only problem was mostly the constant foul smell in our room, since we were only staying for the night, we didn't want to spend too much time worrying about it, but it did ruin our experience a little."
