"We really love this hotel and had an excellent stay over a long weekend. Room was clean, bed was comfy, the customer service folks were helpful and friendly. Family owned and operated for almost 100 years! Will definitely stay here any time we are in SF."
"Great people (especially greeting outside and send off— STAFF COULD NOT BE WARMER! :) - Room: closet light broken so couldn’t see clothes and step up into room meant room service drop off and pick up was a bigger deal than it should have been if the roll-in cart could have would have been able to be used - overall, I would stay again based on staff, grand dame hotel and location"
"The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and that definitely makes the difference between an enjoyable stay and a poor one.
I look forward to staying here again the next time I visit San Francisco!"

"Got off to a terrible start with an incredibly long wait at check in but everything else more than made up for it. Great location, excellent service and helpful staff. "

10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful hotel, easy to get to from airport - BART to Montgomery.
V. convenient location and would stay again. Wish there were more great family restaurants nearby. It's between waterfront, union square near the CBD. So on weekdays, it's busier but still not unsafe at all. Better than expected"
