Seahorse Oceanfront Lodge

Seahorse Oceanfront Lodge

8/10 Good
"I was in one of the 1 bedroom cottages/cabins, I forget what they call them. They look like cottages from the outside and cabins with nice, real wood paneling inside. It's a good size for 1 or 2 people. What I liked about it: Charming, like if you were borrowing your friends uncle's cabin. A mix of old and new furnishings, etc. Less motel vibe, more cabin vibe. It was old, but clean. Has a small but functional kitchen including Keurig with kcups, microwave, and a toaster. (If you plan to really use the kitchen, bring your own everything, there are some things there, but I wouldn't count on anything being there) It's right on the cliff overlooking the ocean, and it's next a public beach access, which is a great place to watch the sunset. The staff was amazing. What I didn't like about it: First of all, nothing here is a deal breaker. It's really more of a warning about things that were annoying and may be a deal breaker for you, if not me. The parking lot at the main building is small and may have you backing out onto the street to leave. The spots in that lot are small and don't fit full size trucks well. None of that may effect you, depending what building your room is in. The shower is small. I mean about as small as it could be. Smaller than some RV showers. I get it, there's not much room in the small bathroom, Overall pretty good. If you're at the coast for a few days, this is a good place with everything you need except a larger shower lol"

"Friendly staff. Room was large and clean. Ample parking. Breakfast was okay—waffles cereal toast muffins yogurt hard boiled eggs and fruit. Juice was watery, bland. Heard there’s a hot breakfast on weekends that includes more."

"Clean, well-maintained hotel; friendly professional staff; lovely romantic views of the beach right from our hotel room; the spacious balconies overlooking the beach below is just WOW! Dine at Mo's restaurant, then go for a romantic walk on the pier, which is right next to Mo's. Very quiet & relaxing with the sound of gentle waves at a distance. VERY accommodating!"

"Bedroom is right next to the walk way and it is very easy to hear people as they pass by. There isn't a fan in the room to drown out that noise either. If you need white noise to sleep well like we do, bring your own fan. (We called the front desk and they said they didn't have any). The bed is also very stiff as if it had a plastic cover like you do for kids who still pee the bed, not very comfy but not terrible. The balcony was great, nice that there were chairs... however the railing is thick wood and covers the view of the ocean when you sit down. Liked how close to the beach it was and overall was very happy."
