"The furniture in the room was old and could maybe use a bit of a touch up but the room was clean. The woman who checked us in was nice, I guess, but wouldn't say she was friendly. The man at the desk the next morning was much friendlier. The breakfast was ok but there isn't much of anything to choose from. The waffle mix picturere good but other options were very minimal, at best. They had three very ripe bananas in a basket, the apples looked like they were picked from someone's backyard. If you choose a room based on the breakfast they offer, this wouldn't be a good choice."

"Absolutely amazing ocean view from the balcony. The view made up for other shortcomings. I had trouble reaching the offsite staff at the number provided by Expedia. Left multiple messages and I finally got a message in my Expedia inbox. My reservation said I would get the door code 24 hours prior to arrival, but upon reaching the said staff, they wouldn’t give me the code until 4 pm day of arrival. So I feel the communication was difficult or lacking. Turns out the Expedia provided phone number for Sunset Haven was wrong- not sure whose fault that was. The room was a bit outdated but fairly comfortable other than no AC. That would be a problem on warmer days. Again, the view may be best we’ve ever had."

"The room was adequate but not luxurious. It seemed to be newly renovated, but the shower had gross caulking. I thought I was getting a deluxe/luxurious room as the pictures on expedia were a bit deceiving. I wish there was a more accurate room picture. And we thought this was beach level, (again, due to the pictures) but it was up on the cliff. Beach access was only 2blocks away. So it was fine. Amenities were great! Fire pits, and FANTASTIC breakfast!"

"Outstanding place to stay at the Oregon coast. Newly remodeled large rooms that are quite nice, the staff went out of their way to ensure guests felt welcome- all of them from the front desk to breakfast staff to housekeeping. The breakfast was excellent and the hot salmon chowder served daily in the evening was outstanding. A word of caution though- the shower is two sided glass and is exposed to the whole room."
