"A hotel reservation was made online by me, her mother, on 5/31/2026 for my daughter, Desirae' T. Regrettably, when she arrived at the desk of The Embassy Suites hotel on the same day of the booking, she was unable to check in because she did not possess a physical card for incidentals, despite having the necessary booking confirmation. Following this incident, I promptly reached out to Expedia to request a cancellation and refund. After 2 days of waiting without any updates regarding the status, I contacted the GM of the Embassy hotel, who confirmed that the reservation had indeed been canceled & that my refund would be processed through Expedia. Unfortunately, the process has been quite prolonged & I have yet to see any refund reflected in my account. My grievance lies not with the Embassy Suites, but rather with Expedia itself. I am left uncertain if I have been scammed or not. After numerous emails & calls to Expedia in an effort to retrieve my funds, I found it necessary to involve the BBB & VISA to dispute all charges."
