“This is a lovely place to stay. We were well looked after, my gluten free dietary needs were catered for and the staff were very accommodating. The house is old so we expected that the rooms might be ‘quirky’ but we had a dangerous fault with our shower that could have resulted in serious scalding incident. We have informed the managers so they can deal with it. Dinner was 5* as you’d expect in a place with a chef of this calibre - wine and port also excellent. Pricey, but not excessive....

As someone who travels extensively, most of which in premium establishments - this was one of the most disappointing stays I have had (Room, Afternoon Tea & Spa) - The greeting was inappropriate, only ever acknowledging me, never my fiancée (as if she wasn't there) - The room was very very tired. “아침식사는 맛있지만 가짓수가 좀 부족합니다. 바닷가 옆이라 파도소리가 굉장히 크게 들리구요. 방 크기는 생각보다 좁았습니다. 리버풀에서 한시간 정도 거리에 있습니다. Ground 엘리베이터 버튼을 꽉 눌러야 작동이 되는 단점이 있습니다.”
