Northern Lower Peninsula, Michigan hotel rooms at the Budget Host

"Our room really wasn't clean. Sticky spots on the floor, pepperoni behind the tv (?) cheerio on the floor. Could see things were spilled on the nightstand and not cleaned on the side. One bed had a flat sheet, blanket, then flat sheet again instead of flat sheet, blanket, comforter. There were no towels provided. No soap provided. The little shampoo and conditioner bottles provided were previously used. Water park had multiple broken water tubes causing the water to continuously be full blast. Overall, I wasn't expecting a lot based on reading previous reviews. It was fine for the weekend. I didn't love it but the staff was nice enough I would stay again if I needed."

"I had a really good stay at Grand Beach Resort Hotel overall. The staff was super friendly and helpful the whole time, which made a big difference. The room was clean and well kept, and the pool area was also very clean and nice to use. One thing I really liked was breakfast being delivered right to the room, that was a great touch and made mornings easy. The only downside for me was the heating and cooling unit in the bedroom part of the family suite. It was pretty loud and noticeable at night, which made it a little harder to sleep. Other than that, everything else was great and I’d definitely consider staying here again. "

"For my fiancee birthday weekend we decided to go casino hopping, Odawa Casino and Hotel was out first stop. Rooms were beautiful and so clean the Casino was great we were able to play and won enough to continue to play, great place to go and have fun"
