Shiosai no yado Seikai is an outstanding onsen/hotel in Beppu. From arrival to departure the staff, including Mr. Ohkubo, provided exceptional hospitality and service. Our room was upscale spacious, clean, modern and equipped with all the amenities that the most demanding guest would want. The furo/spa facilities were clean and well stocked with needed supplies. The property itself was super spacious. The best part was using the whole building to our own. We didn’t get bothered from anyone, nor did we bother someone else. The Onsen was also very enjoyable. I would definitely come back here with my family again.

Absolutely amazing stay. Loved the traditional Japanese styles they used and the in-room onsen was so cool! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great traditional Japanese luxury stay at an affordable price!

Excellent facilities and top notch service together with fantastic food, drinks and all inclusive. Villa with private onsen and swimming pool will leave you breathless.

Very interesting landscape and loved the osen. It is one of the few private osens where I could bathe with my partner. One thing that should be made clear on the Expedia description is that you can only pay with cash!

From the very start the staff was very nice, even though we weren't the best tourists. We stayed a short time, and in that tike the staff was friendly, despite our Faux Pas and were willing to help us with arranging luggage forwarding. The room we booked was very clean and offered coffee, tea, and ice water in our rooms which we were free to use. Absolutely first class in every way.

Room was huge and the mattress was first-rate. Staff were exceptionally helpful. The entire property was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was varied and delicious. It was just as advertised.

Favorite spot to stay in Beppu. Great staff, great rooms, and good food.
