much trouble for him. He got me a hairdryer, iron and ironing board when I asked him. Parking was ยฃ6.50 for 24 hrs. We stayed 2 nights. Ideal place to stay. Between the hub and shopping centre. AC was fab in our room. No kettle in room but you can purchase tea/ coffe downstairs from the machine which is ยฃ2.50 โ
โGreat staff and easy access from the car park and a short walk from the station, Room was spacious and well designed. Internet was fast and room temp was good. Breakfast options were good and plentiful. Not the place to be if you want a quiet night. Itโs on the same site as a music venue and noise pollution into the early hours is usual particularly over the weekend. The bathroom could definitely have been cleaner and was not up to the usual high Ibis standard. But overall a good place to stay โ
โI didn't know what to expect when booking (got a great deal through expedia) it also came up as a 2star (which personally I never go for) but it looked fine (better than dated / tired alternatives in the area) so thought I'd give it a go and I'm glad I did.

โPerfect for our one night stop-over enroute to another venue. It's quite a big, old building with some quirky features but we had everything needed in our room which was well presented. Staff were personable. Breakfast was good. The hotel sits on a one-way road system. It's compact car park is to the rear of the property. If you miss the hotel car park sign on approach and pass the hotel on your left, follow the one-way clockwise, turning left just before the hotel. โ
โThis was perfect for our needs. An in-expensive, comfortable room, that has toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities and a small TV. Parking was free and within hotel grounds. Should you want to walk into Wellingborough town centre you could do so within 5-10 minutes.โ
โWe have stayed at DoubleTree many times. Reception staff are always welcoming. Evgenia is always friendly and helpful. She has checked us in on our last three visits.
As a side note, we have witnessed a guest being quite rude to her and she communicated with them in such a professional manner.
We sometimes request a room up-grade and the hotel has always been able to accommodate, even if it is for a specific room, so thank you House-keeping staff.
