I would not recommend this resort! We stayed for the week of New Years 2026. The Youtube reviews were wrong and maybe paid off. To start out positive; The property itself is beautiful and spread out with about a mile of walkable paths along the beach. Our room was great and clean, one of the best showers I have even had the pleasure of using in my life, house keeping did a great job. Now for the negative: Service was cold and robotic, solely reactive, it felt like we had to beg to get anything. Calling anyone on property was a hassle, most of the time no one would pick up the phone. Also, room service, we would try and call to get food and no one would pick up so we would use their "app" to schedule food to be delivered. the food was consistently 30-60mins late and always cold. The restaurants were laughably bad, the japanese, steakhouse, italian, and buffet restaurant were all terrible. The pizza cabana by the pool was the only good meal we had at the property. The quality of food was worse than any chain restaurant. I actually laughed when I was served a sad grey steak at the steakhouse. The buffet is a lot smaller than the pictures make it seem and the food offering could be described as disjointed. Though if you enjoy soupy instant eggs and undercooked pork sausage for breakfast you will love it. I am running out of room to write more but will say our excursions with Lomas to Chichen Itza and Maroma Beach were great! Staff was excellent and food was great!

The entire facility was well kept & clean, as well as our room. The whole staff was friendly and helpful but the Concierges could be a little pushy. They really want you to do a property tour and join their membership. They even do it as you’re leaving. The bars were well stocked with great bartenders. The beach needs a lot of updating to be more usable and there were no loungers. We had to go to a beach club off site for good swimming & snorkeling. The resort is aware and offered that as a free excursion. The food was just average and restaurants are very spread out. They need an evening buffet on the adult side. We struggled to get shuttles and that was a 15 minute walk. Over all it was a nice get away.

Not worth the money. You can stay at a lot nicer properties for the same price. We had 6 people and booked 3 rooms. Cons: Front desk is rude & unprofessional especially Maria & Sergio. Rooms have mold growing on the walls, headboards, etc. 2 of the 3 rooms smelled. One of mold and one of sewer. 2 of 3 rooms had no working phone. Room service is absolutely terrible. 1+ hrs to get food. Often not bringing it at all. Hotel just isn’t being maintained. Pool chairs old and uncomfortable. Pros: Nice night life & entertainment.

The resort is huge! 3 resorts in one so was busy and spread out. Sometimes all the cabanas would be taken before 8am and you had to reserve some or pay or was first come first serve. Was unclear on process. Some of the restaurants were 30 + min walk from our room. Transportation (go carts) was every 15 min and then sometimes would be full at dinner hour. The beach is narrow and cannot be accessed for swimming due to coral and huge cement blocks/structures placed there to protect the coral reef. If you want to swim in pools then this is the place as there are many pools to choose from but if u want to swim in the ocean then you must go to Maroma beach (rated top 10 beaches in the world 20 min by bus away was included and exceptional). I didnt like that the advertising implied that it was a great ocean swimming resort when it wasnt and you couldn't walk along the full stretch of the beach ( interrupted by structures , too narrow etc) . The food was superior and staff awesome, very attentive and helpful. Room was very clean, beds, pillows were very comfortable. Towels fluffy and plentiful. I would go back but only if i could go to Maroma beach more than once included with package.

Staff was friendly and room was nice. Getting dinner reservations was an issue the entire stay, as well as getting a pool chair. Food was ok. I've been to another el dorado location (maroma) and i think ill stick to that one from now on.

From the moment of arrival, we felt pampered. The staff was extremely accommodating. The ground were amazing. Walking the paths at night was peaceful and beautiful. I would definitely recommend booking a stay and this resort.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff we encountered were nice and helpful for the most part. The grounds were well kept, and the resort overall was beautiful. The food and drink were good as well. We had a swim up room and found it to be more like a lazy river where other guests could swim through from the main pool, but we appreciated the quick access from our room and lounging chairs and table outside the room. The dinner at Fuentes was quite as interesting dinner/cooking experience that I would recommend.

Room was beautiful, staff were fantastic and the food was great. Lots of options for restaurants. Book restaurants when you arrive so can get in if busy. The atmosphere and entertainment was great. We had a swim up room that we enjoyed thoroughly as the pool off our deck was beautiful. The beds were super comfortable and we would recommend El Dorado Royale to anyone looking for a relaxing beautiful all inclusive resort.

Wow. Best vacation ever. The room was gorgeous, The amenities, were so plentiful that we wished we had another week to experience them all. (Next time!) The location and grounds were positively DREAMY. We really walked our feet off trying to experience everything! But the very best thing about our stay was that the entire staff, everyone straight down to the merest maid, was immensely and incredibly friendly and accommodating. We received VIP treatment every moment of every single day. Five enthusiastic stars!

We took the Lomas Hospitality that came with our all inclusive from the airport and back again.We had a really smooth trip there and back.We got to the hotel a couple hours before check in but we got to have lunch at one of te restaurants as soon as we got there.The resort is very well taken care of lots of staff.Lots of different restaurants to choose from.The pools are not heated so the water wasnt as warm but we went the last week in November so thats to be expected. The beach is not swimable here.And their salt water pool was under renovation while we were there but our room was cleaned everytime we left.The food was amazing,Mexican night was our favorite along with The Spot for lunch.It rained one afternoon so we booked a spa and it was a really good experience. They do have their reps that show you around to get you to sign up for membership we did not but still got a free spa treatment. For a quiet 20th anniversary trip we had an amazing time.We do wish they had an option for non drinkers,and for that reason we would probably choose non all inclusive next time.

The property is beautiful, very large, and the rooms were nice. If you're a beach person, you wont like it because of the barriers. It was very quiet when we were there and when they played music it was older (like decades). I wish there was more local food available. We survived on room service. The food at the restaurants was underwhelming. The service was great; everyone was so willing to assist. Thr drinkscwere great! Overall we had a really good time!

Was pushed to book with our concierge for activities but the excursions the concierge book are the extra cost ones. They forgot to tell us that the excursions included with our package had to be booked at the check in area. Room was clean. Most staff were nice. Had to make a reservation every night for dinner, couldn’t walk in to a restaurant. On our first day there we sat down to make “reservations” for our dinners for the week and a lot of the restaurants were booked until like 9:00 or 9:30 or not available at all. The cenote was closed. You had to pay extra for the cabana beds. There is a lot of walking to destinations within the resort, just a tip for those who have trouble walking long distances.

Perfect for those that like to pay extra for literally everything. As soon as you get there, they try to sell you expensive dinner package and as soon as you say you're not interested, you become a leper to them. Never meet our concierge, We were only able to make reservations for 2 restaurants which we didn't really have a choice for. The dinner was like appetizers so we were definately hungry and had to settle for burgers and hot dogs. Also, we kept getting disconnect every time we called the front desk or room service. Bring good walking shoes, you'll be walking all day getting from place to place since their golf carts are nonexistent. Other than that. Pretty place

They can put more lights at night and signs on the pathways at night its scary to walk at night, I run into an alamid on my way back to our unit after dinner, and one other tailed animal that resembles a racoon. on our way back from our dinner. We get lost twice looking for for our room.Theres not a lot of people/staff to ask for information.we need more instructions at check in. The staff in the restaurants are efficient, professional and pleasing to deal with, every food they served are delicious. Staff are nice and helpful otherwise.Beatiful resort!
