This property was highly enjoyable. The rooms were clean and roomy. We loved the variety of pool areas to change up Centro day to day. The pools were great for the kids, with plenty of options from quieter spaces and more active areas. The beach was nice, but there was a lot of seagrass. We were still able to swim. The guest services staff of Melisa, Mar, Majo, and Zyanya made us feel like VIP's for the entire trip. They would check in with us daily to make sure everything was going well and if we needed anything. Certainly worth booking this hotel through Expedia.

Our room was really nice. The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that the resort is spread out so you had to take a trolley within the resort. The problem was that they only had two trolleys running so you would have to wait up to 20 minutes for your trolley. They need to add more trolleys

Our ground floor room opened up to pool area which was relatively quiet, with a poolside cocktail bar and daily lunch served at the small restaurant. The hotel was very comfortable, with walkways through the jungle to the beach with many small mammals and lizards along the way. We loved the sustainability of the complex (no plastic bottles, straws etc) and excellent restaurants. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially the Guest Experience team of Melisa, Zyanya, Mar & Maria who helped with excursions and restaurants. They also arranged a surprise cake to celebrate our anniversary, which was very nice. Overall, an excellent relaxing place, but does need some renovation during the offseason.

The food was the best I've experienced at an all inclusive. (If you cannot get the reservation you want, keep trying, people cancel and openings happen). Long and narrow resort, mobility options would on property would be nice. I had spinal surgery and made sure to book a scooter to be delivered. (Motion4rent) Lots of activities available for adults and children. Wish the evening entertainment was earlier but we have a 2 hour time change so 😕 The staff was very gracious especially the ladies at the Expedia Desk. They checked in on our needs often and made sure our they were met, including repairing our sliding patio door. Didn't want to leave and will return.

Everything was wonderful, staff was excellent. The rooms were very nice and cleaned daily. I love the many options of food. Plenty of great activities to do throuout the day.

The resort was lovely, but standout for us was the beautiful surprise of the Expedia Guest Experience Team; staff of Sandos Playacar, but dedicated to making us feel welcome, and ensuring we had the very best time during our stay. Thank you to Melisa, Zyanya, Majo/Maria, And Mariana for all that you did, from the welcome message before we arrived (and daily!) to ensuring we had reservations at specialty restaurants at a time that worked for us. YOU made our stay special! I had no idea such a team existed, and have not encountered one at other resorts, but heads up to anyone considering booking through Expedia: this team, at this resort, will elevate your stay and make it even more memorable.

We stayed in the adult only towers which are not updated. They had an older feel but they were clean and had everything we needed. The housekeepers did a great job. The grounds were beautiful. The staff was amazing. The adult only pool could use more shade/ chairs. Every chair at the adult only pool was taken before 8am so we always sat at the beach instead. Unfortunately the sargassum was early this year and there was a lot on the beach but it didn’t ruin our trip. The staff were amazing always helpful and friendly thank you to the experience team - Melisa, zyanya, mar and Maria were amazing and helpful with anything we needed. The seek and go helped set up our excursion and we used private transfer from Canadian transfer which was also great. We had ala carte italian and it was wonderful. The buffet was great so much selection and everything was good
