"I was surprised that there was no daily housekeeping service. Guests need to contact reception if they would like fresh towels; otherwise, they have to keep using the same ones. Also, no one comes to make the bed. The breakfast buffet was smaller than expected. That said, the staff were very friendly and approachable."

"We had a wonderful stay, The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the city and enjoy nearby attractions. What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Their hospitality and attention to detail were outstanding. A special thank you to Jeerah and Sara, whose service went above and beyond our expectations. They were always friendly, professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our experience memorable. We highly recommend the Obal Hotel and would gladly stay here again. If you’re looking for excellent service, comfort, good rooftop this is the place to stay."

"We were greeted with a complimentary drink on arrival which was very welcome after a flight delay of an hour and a half! Smiling and helpful staff at reception and made us feel very confident we’d be taken care of. Only very slight niggle in room was lack of drawer space but other than that beds comfy and little chocolates left on pillows a lovely touch also the complimentary toiletries in the bathroom and shower room. Everything very clean and cleaning staff wonderful. Breakfast was incredible. Great buffet choice and nice selection from menu too. We had out three year old grandson with us and he was well catered for. Staff also very accommodating supplying us with a cot after we’d tried and failed to get him to sleep in the sofa bed! We were in Marbella for our son’s wedding and pre wedding drinks had also been arranged at the hotel. This was wonderfully handled. We would highly recommend a stay in this lovely hotel with its professional and courteous staff."

"Reception was very friendly on arrival and checked us in quickly. The apartment itself was very clean and spacious with a large terrace. Unfortunately the proximity to the dual carriageway meant it was too noisy to be able to relax out there. Parking was also a bit of an issue with no parking outside the apartment but rather up a fairly steep hill which would make it quite difficult for anyone with mobility issues."

"While the staff were pleasant, helpful, & provided good service throughout our stay, unfortunately the property itself was extremely disappointing. The complex is very large & conveniently located close to the marina, supermarkets, & other local amenities. However, the accommodation was in desperate need of renovation & appeared not to have been updated since the 1980s. The condition of the apartment was far below expectations & did not match the description provided at the time of booking. The air conditioning was unreliable & frequently malfunctioned. Noise was a major issue throughout our stay. We could clearly hear neighbours in surrounding apartments, & external noise continued into the early hours of the morning, making it almost impossible to get a good night’s sleep. Because of this, I would not recommend the property for families with young children. The furnishings were extremely dated. The beds & mattresses appeared worn out & in need of replacement. The kitchen was old, tired, & literally falling apart in places. The sofas were dusty & well past their best. Basic kitchen equipment was also lacking, with insufficient cookware & no coffee mugs available. Even after requesting mugs from reception, none could be provided. Overall, while the location & staff were positives, the poor condition of the accommodation, excessive noise, & misleading property description made this a very disappointing experience. I would not stay here again & would not recommend to others."
