Punta Cana, La Altagracia hotel rooms at the Hilton Hotels

"While the property itself is absolutely beautiful, our overall experience was disappointing due to several issues. The grounds, pools, and overall aesthetic of the resort are truly stunning and well-maintained. It’s clear that a lot of effort has gone into creating a visually appealing environment. Unfortunately, our room had multiple problems that significantly impacted our stay. The most concerning was the door lock — it would not lock properly, meaning anyone could open it without a key. We had to wait over an hour for assistance, and even after someone came to “fix” it, the issue was not fully resolved as we still couldn’t lock the door from the inside. This raised serious safety concerns. Additionally, the water pressure was very low, and the back door would not close all the way, which added to the frustration. What stood out the most — and ultimately affected our experience the most — was the service and food. Compared to many other resorts we’ve stayed at, the level of hospitality here was extremely disappointing. Much of the staff seemed unwilling to take initiative, showed little effort to understand or resolve concerns, and overall came across as unfriendly — especially toward families with children. Traveling with kids, this made a noticeable difference in how comfortable and welcomed we felt."

"The food was great , always reserved the day before you Mr restaurant dinners. Each day. The pool and beach excellent .. the drinks great . The property has cats in property , our worried not been fed or clean water for Them, I asked and they said customers feed them !! That’s bad , I hope the take consideration and provide the cats a better care."

"Absolute Perfection at Excellence El Carmen – Highly Recommended! I spent 7 wonderful days at this resort in April, and it was a flawless experience. We stayed in a suite with a private pool, which I highly recommend for anyone looking for true comfort and a relaxing getaway. The grounds and the beach are impeccably maintained and very clean. What I loved most is the balance—there is something for everyone, whether you are looking for great dining, active entertainment, or just peace and quiet. Everything was perfect from start to finish. I truly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this hotel!"

"The food is average. The rooms are average. It did seem like it wasn’t cool enough but it wasn’t a big issue. Not enough connections bring an extension cord. The area is nice with a lot palm trees. The staff were friendly. The pool is def a party vibe. The theme parties are fun. We had a great experience. Satisfied for the price, would book again. "
