Ragged Point, San Simeon hotel rooms at the Motel 6

"When we arrived the office was closed due to the staff going on a break. We got to our room finally after waiting for staff to come back. Our room smelled like marijuana so bad we had to open all the windows. The smell never got better through the whole stay and I had a horrible headache anytime we had to be at the room. Not a good experience especially for how much we had to pay. "

"The microwave was broken. The coffee maker didn't work. Half of the lights didn't work. We had to ask twice to get the microwave replaced because we were told they forgot. They offered to put us in a different room and took us to see it. It had less lights than the ones in the room we had. They did replace the coffeemaker after multiple requests.The breakfast waffles were good. We won't be back"

"This is a pleasant hotel in the new San Simeon. Walking distance to the beach, but no direct access from the property. Several restaurants on the same street and across the highway. A pleasant surprise: a private jacuzzi (jet bathtub) in each room! Bring your favorite foam bath."
