"The check in process at the Arco market was quick and easy. Access to the room was easy and close. It was noisy with all the highway traffic going by, but probably not much you can do about it. It was fine for our purposes. We stayed here on a stop over to Zion from Vegas after a late arriving flight "

This town, originally settled by Mormons in the 1800s and ultimately abandoned when Lake Mead was formed by the construction of the Hoover Dam, is now a protected US archaeological site and can be accessed on a 2.5 mile hiking loop from the St Thomas Trailhead. The trailhead is about 4 miles down a dirt road near the entrance to Lake Mead National Recreation Area by Valley of Fire State Park.
