“Friendly staff and excellent food”

“Excellent overnight stay. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.”

“The stork hotel/pub was perfect for our first trip away with our puppy. The staff were friendly and welcoming the meals in the evening were lovely. The only complaint we have was breakfast took over an hr to arrive after we mentioned to them we were still waiting for it & a waitress apologised claiming that it was all her fault. When it did arrive the sausages were dried up the bacon was overdone & the fried eggs were hard. Apart from that everything else was great.”

“We stayed here just as a stop over and it was a very small and low double bed in a huge room. It wasnt the cleanest so I was glad I had slippers with me. Shower ceiling was too low for a 6'2 person so my partner had to crouch. The main parts of the hotel looked nice on arrival, but we didnt make use of it. Nice and quiet despite the location.”

“I didn't have breakfast but the evening meal was very good. Friendly and helpful staff. Varied menu. Good service. Unfortunately, the hotel could not find any evidence of my Expedia booking amd I had to pay a last minute, higher price, for the night.”

“Beautiful stay here for 3 nights stayed in a 2 bed apartment/ home from home enjoyed using the swimming pool and jacuzzi although could stay open a little later than 8pm especially if you are travelling , would definitely come back again… had a great price and enjoyed every minute thank you to the team for making our stay memorable ”

“The hotel was slightly dated but that added to the charm, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble, the hotel is on a main road but it's still very quiet. the bed just wraps around you and is so comfy, the linen is snow white and imaculatley clean as is the rooms, i will be booking again a third time and looking forward to my stay again.”

“From easy parking, ease of checkin, spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed. Hot drink making facilities and a nice addition of water in the mini fridge, access to a dining area downstairs with microwave, hot drink facilities and a toaster was all you needed. The price reflects the absence of breakfast supplied and to be honest, we preferred this option. Great value for money. We will be back! ”

“Mountains of stairs from car park to room not good for elderly or those with heavy cases.Spar supposed open at 9am 9.05 no staff were available to allow entry.Food was good although extensive menu of past replacement with quick junk food Expected refurbishment for next two years,”

“Lovely welcome from lady on Reception. A beautiful Victorian building - stunning entrance hall and corridors to rooms. My room, though, could have been cleaner. Comfy bed. I slept well despite a noisy group of people with no etiquette regarding staying in an hotel. The grounds are stunning - you really are in the midst of nature.”
