“A lovely stay. The room was very elegant, clean, and luxurious. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was top notch and we really enjoyed the atmosphere of the old castle. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.”

“The property felt tired and dated. The carpets were stained, as were the curtains. Everything felt a bit grubby. The sofa bed had pillows and duvets provided in a cupboard but we had to go to reception to collect the covers and sheets to make up ourselves. On the plus side, the accommodation was very spacious, the bathrooms were clean (although no bath mats were provided) and the grounds are absolutely stunning.”

“We generally stay at premium hotels but tried this place based on reviews. Drove for 2 hours from EDI to this property. The owner/manager greeted us and asked about dinner plans. Very kind person who guided us about next morning’s breakfast. Being vegetarian, they prepared exhaustive menu based on our dietary preference. Very good hospitality and also imparted valuable information about silver sands beach and ferry to Isle of Sky. Overall an excellent experience!!”
