“An attractive place to stay. We had an unexpected continental breakfast with good choices. A lovely housekeeper made us welcome and lent us her hose to enable us to wash our dusty car. A comfortable room. Three dining options and a mercantile store on the doorstep. Perfect location. ”
“We loved everything about the lodge, the rooms were very clean and the rustic decor made us feel like we were right at home. The owners we very friendly and nice. We ate supper at the restaurant and it was very good. The staff were wonderful they told us a few places to go while we were in Valdez. We stayed in 8 different places on our trip to Alaska and this was our favorite! ”

“Honestly for the price there’s better options than the aspen. The best western offers nicer rooms and a decent free breakfast. This place just doesn’t have anything to offer and the staff are average at best. Comparing the experience of staying at both hotels it became clear that the best western was the better value and the staff seemed to be happier with their job than the ones at the aspen.”
