"The location was great, one entrance had Riverside access and the other one took you right into the old town. The hotel and grounds were lovely, beautifully decorated, colourful and tranquil. The rooms were very spacious and well equipped. I had a room near the front door to start which was a nuisance because I could hear the door constantly slamming but the reception staff kindly relocated me to the top floor which was very quiet and relaxing. The staff couldn't do enough for you and they were very polite, professional, informative and well presented. I only ate breakfast which was good quality and more than plenty of choice for all dietary requirements, plenty of choice. I could not fault this hotel really. I didn't try the spa but it looked good in the room brochure. If I was to visit Istanbul again I would certainly stay here again and would highly recommend it."

"Everything was as expected and as per the website description. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. As per the description it’s in the old part of Istanbul and there is a lot of character in the area. The manager and staff were most friendly and welcoming. Offering drinks on arrival and happy to chat and provide advice. While it’s a small hotel it is beautifully decorated with several beautiful Turkish artefacts. An easy ten minutes walk to the Grand Bazaar and Sultanahmet Mosque. A special thank you to the manager Murat for his hospitality and sharing his knowledge. Well worth a visit. "

The place is impecable, the beddings are great, the staff is fantastic and welcoming. Location is perfect for first time visitors wanting to see main attractions. You can’t go wrong booking here , highly recommend and will be returning in April . "

"Recently stayed for 4 nights with my family. Location is amazing in the heart of sultanhamet. Rooms were squeaky clean, and staff were always pleasant and courteous. A downside was I had a brick wall outside my window and the walls are not so soundproof, for me it wasnt much of an issue as we spent the whole day out and only came back to sleep and rest. The staff and their customer service really makes up for any shortfalls. A special Thank You to Burhan, amazing customer service skills I felt like I was in a 5* environment from check in to check out, he was extremely attentive and made us feel welcomed. Will definitely stay at carina gold again. "
