“Great little spot where you have privacy and share common areas like kitchen, bathrooms, showers. The host was helpful and friendly. The pool was great. Peaceful place. We stayed one afternoon-evening before catching our red eye flight back to Hawaii. It was a nice spot to take a nap, enjoy the pool, and freshen up. Would like to go back and check out the tree house! Maybe next time :)”

“The Teahupo’o surf break is basically directly out front (off-shore at the reef, of course) but water taxis are right at the shore by the front gate of pension so the location could not be better from that POV. It’s a short walk (5 minutes) on a nice beach path from the Teahupo’o photo wave spot and Olympic rings, or you can drive to the pension and park but only if you’ve got a vehicle capable of river-crossing - so that adds to the charm of the place as well. “I stayed in the Kava bungalow which I thought was excellent. That said, the stairs to the loft where the main bed is are small and steep so something to keep in mind if you need to try to make it down to use the bathroom and back up in the dead of night. The grounds and the view are straight out of your favourite travel influencer’s TikTok, so that’s a highlight, for sure. And the food at the restaurant was great. “This place is in a great location, walking distance to the market and ferry. It’s a little tricky to find and not a typical hotel. There are 4 or 5 large rooms/ units with large beds, large bathroom and small kitchenette. The staff was friendly and helpful”
