PUBLIC, an Ian Schrager hotel
8/10 Good
"Loved everything but for 2 things, one the beds were on the floor and not very comfortable and heard a lot of noise, people talking loudly at 3am while trying to sleep!"
"Great location very close to Time's Square. The room was nice, but the elevators are living a life on their own. Weirdest elevators ever. You had to press the desired floor before you went in to the elevators. The elevator did not have a panel inside, so you just had to pray you would get to the correct floor, depending on the algorithm and the number of people in line."

CitizenM is a really cute, modern hotel with a fun atmosphere, and the staff was excellent from start to finish. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety of fresh options.
The rooms are very small, which I expected, but they're efficiently designed. My biggest complaint was the layout for getting ready. The bathroom has almost no counter space, and the only full-length mirror is in the room with no nearby power outlet. It made it difficult to do my hair or makeup, and I think adding an outlet near the mirror would make a huge difference.
A few of the power outlets in my room were also finicky and didn't always work reliably.
The hotel itself was great, but the immediate area had a noticeable homeless presence, which made it feel a little less comfortable walking around at times, especially at night. That's obviously not the hotel's fault, but it's something future guests may want to know.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The stylish design, comfortable bed, excellent staff, and delicious breakfast made it a great experience."
