"Nice hotel for the price in a good area to catch the subway. Staff was friendly. I like how on graduation weekend they had an area set up and a message in the elevators. Would stay again."
"The Public is situated in a great location near China Town. Little Italy, and SoHo. It’s a pretty fast cab ride to Midtown and downtown. I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant because it was closed. The café was pretty good with breakfast food, fresh juice, and coffee. Housekeeping was very accommodating and the room was clean and orderly. There are things in the room that are comfortable for example thats a bit awkward, for example, there was no place to hang a towel in the bathroom area, no Kleenex, and no hairdryer, so I had to request these items. There are no hooks so you have to place it somewhere close to the shower, which is very tiny. The design is very much like the Edition hotel near Times Square, which I’ve stayed at several times and I enjoy because there is an amazing restaurant and bars. It’s very minimalist design. The table could use one more chair and better quality seating/chairs. I did not get a chance to sample the rooftop bar, but I will have to do that on my next journey or the club for that matter. The front desk staff was very helpful in anything that I needed. Andy, the front desk manager was also very accommodating. I typically stay in upscale properties in Midtown and this hotel really held its own against bigger brands that are more luxurious. It has a younger vibe, which was fine. Overall, a very comfortable stay."
"Small room but nice, great for 1, good for 2 but that’s it. Staff was great, location for our trip great but one thing I found odd was that they replaced towels but not wash cloths. We made do but again, should not have overlooked such a small yet important item. Would we stay again, yes…"
