"The location was so convenient for our theater, shopping and sightseeing trip. The hotel staff was great- if we sat in the lobby, management would stop over to ask about our day or if there was anything they could help with. The rooms were larger than I anticipated and the hotel was able to accommodate our request for adjoining king and double rooms. Bathrooms were relatively new and very clean. (Only oddity was maid service would arrive about 5pm each day as we were resting between day and evening activities. They were good to empty trash and leave more towels though.) I read some complaints about the breakfast area being too crowded- we never really had that issue. Breakfast was the standard free breakfast food, but we did appreciate that they had numerous waffle makers. It was a bit congested but very doable. Patience and courtesy seemed to be the norm. Also, the staff handling luggage storage before and after check-in were great. They offered help with transportation and tourist info and tips. Also we appreciated that after a certain time, there was a security person at the door to ensure people entering were actually hotel guests. We would certainly stay here again."

"On checkout Row charged $45/day/room "destination fee" which may be hidden in small print somewhere but is not included in the price at hotels.com. This seems to violate the spirit if not the letter of the law. Any NY lawyers paying attention who want a juicy consumer case? This is a large hotel with lots of rooms; seems like a pretty straightforward complaint; you can look at my invoice or just book a room and note the fee on your own (or get confirmation from what are likely thousands of people). BTW - I'd hate to see this review censored in any way, not posted or edited, or it'd have to go more directly to people who may not deal with it in gentler way."
