"I spent 3 nights at the hotel on a business trip and was disappointed with the hotel. Very bare minimum amenities in the room. I had a ironing board but no iron. There was a water kettle but no tea/coffee. The bathroom was quite small, tub was also tiny, water pressure low, clogged bathtub and a very short curtain to keep the water in the tub. Disappointing."

"I booked the room for my niece, her husband, and their 8 year old. They had nothing but praise! I noted myself that the bathroom is large for a NYC hotel. And I can say, after waiting in the lobby and lounge for them, sometimes for over an hour while they rested, that the public spaces are lovely, and the staff excellent. While they didn't use the bar, I sure did, and liked it so much that it's going to go into the rotation when I want to have a drink in the neighborhood. I especially liked the complimentary salami/cheese/etc. The breakfast vouchers were a nice touch, and it turns out that Mille-Feuille has breakfast croissants and the like as well as just pastries. Location is great. My niece got to make her pilgrimage to Zabars, and the express train at 72 and local at 79 make it very convenient to get around, not to mention the 104 bus stops nearby."

"The staff really push their flat-rate car service, and declining it can be uncomfortable. When I asked a staff member of the hotel for help hailing a cab, the cab driver with Curb said he was told I wanted a flat rate. I did not want a flat rate. I needed a metered cab, but I was stuck with a flat-rate cab ride to the airport. I won’t soon forget being mistreated like that. "

"Stayed in accessible king bed suite (unexpected upgrade from standard king room). Great space if needed for any with mobility issues (e.g., walker, wheelchair). Sitting room, bedroom, and large, open bathroom. Comfortable bed. All clean and well maintained. Complimentary umbrella & bathrobes for use during stay. "
