"THERE WAS NO HOT WATER!!!! First off, it is not a hotel, it is an apartment /studio in NYC, and it is illegal to rent out apartments as air bnb. Secondly, no instructions were sent to me about “check in”, so I went to the address listed on the Expedia listing. There was no such address. I was called by the operator who told me to read the instructions! Since i did not receive any by text or email he had to text me the REAL address of unit, with the instructions on how to get into the property. As we were entering the building, a tenant stated that she was told that this unit is behind on rent and is not supposed to be operating air bnb but does anyway. I get into the unit. I start to settle in. It is what I expected, pleasant and clean. The temperature in NYC that day was 93degrees and after a day of traveling I needed a shower. THERE WAS NO HOT WATER!!!!! After several texts back and forth about “letting the water run” and we’ll get someone over there, I went to sleep without a shower. The next day was a big event and I left with still NO HOT WATER!!! At around 11:30 am I received a text that the water was turned on! When I returned later that day, I did have hot water. This was so aggravating! I ranked this unit low because hot water is a BASIC feature of a housing unit, not an extra. Plus the illegal and sloppy nature of this organization."

"Had an amazing stay at East River Hotel on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The hotel was very clean, the furniture and mattresses were super comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring NYC. Everything was walking distance including Central Park, Fifth Avenue shopping, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rockefeller Center, and Times Square. Lots of great restaurants, cafés, and subway access nearby too. The staff was friendly and the whole stay felt comfortable and convenient. Definitely would stay again!"

"Staying at The Pierre, A Taj Hotel last week for our NYC trip was incredible. What truly sets The Pierre apart is the staff — every single person was warm, caring, and genuinely attentive. The concierge team is exceptional and truly five-star, helping us with everything from restaurant bookings and attractions to cars and thoughtful local suggestions, all handled effortlessly and kindly. Front of house was equally outstanding, and even the lift attendants made every interaction feel personal and welcoming. The hotel itself is immaculate — elegant, pristine, and perfectly positioned right by Central Park, making the whole stay feel effortlessly luxurious. And a special touch: the early morning croissants at 6am for jet-lagged guests were such a thoughtful detail. A beautiful hotel made unforgettable by its people."
