"The location is great and the staff are friendly. We booked a junior suite with two queen beds as there were three of us. The size of the room was great but the room, particularly the bathroom, had a very musty, vegetal odor. In one instance we walked in after being out for the afternoon and the odor was overwhelming. We called the front desk and they didn’t offer much help, other than to open the windows. Also the elevators were malfunctioning periodically during our stay. Overall, the hotel was adequate given the choices in the area we needed to stay and our budget."

"This hotel is in a wonderful location, but the rooms are horrible. I guess that’s just New York but for $350 a night you would expect a nicer room. Bed was hard, pillows small, bathroom is outdated w/ shower curtain, mismatched caulking, rusted door jamb. Way overdue for a major renovation."

"This was my second stay here and sadly not as great. The first night the rooms heater was on during a heat wave and it was horribly uncomfortable. I checked with the front desk and they helped me get it adjusted. There was also a maintenance guy doing work with a drill late at night in the room which was odd. The people I shared my room with were incredibly noisy and would talk on speaker phone late into the night and super early in the morning. The room smelled, that being more on the occupants than the cleaners. The bathroom was pretty gross on a regular basis and the showers had almost no water pressure. The men’s room across from my room was closed so maybe it was from so many people using the one facility. The staff were great and the shared spaces elsewhere in the building were nice. I would stay here again, just maybe in a smaller capacity room."

"The room was small and had the bare necessities. However, at checking, I was told they charge $20 'amenities type' fee. Having no recourse, I paid. When using the sin & tub, the water had to run for over 20 minutes before there was som warm/hot water. The water fluctuated in temp while using it, so that was less than pleasant. "

"Fantastic spot! From Naomi at the front desk, to the clean and easy rooms, to the breakfast at Mille-Fuille, we loved our stay here. Would come back in a heartbeat. Great value and easy access to subway!"

"I really enjoyed the area and being steps away from Central Park! Coffee shops, restaurants and transit nearby! The 2 person room was small but I didn’t spend much time there and I happened to get a very quiet and respectful roommate! The capsule was fun and equipped with lighting inside and charging ports. I loved the NY bagel breakfast with coffee and fruit which was complimentary every morning! Overall a great stay! I would like to go back!! "

"Arrived at 11:45pm. Small issue with my booking and the front desk attendant not only refused to hear me out but them denied me my booking. I was left to find a new hotel after midnight, a single woman, traveling alone. Fortunately, Management heard my complaint the next morning and offered a full refund. This hotel has been great for me in the past—great location and nice rooms. But unfortunately, I can’t book there again after this experience with one of their Staffers. Hope this is an isolated incident."
